Your new life together will begin in the middle of an one hundred year old apple orchard. The backdrop of the ceremony will be the bay of Deer Harbor with the small wasp island chain and the Olympic mountain range in the background. The ceremony will be under the wedding arbor with seating for your guests facing the harbor. Our staff can also help in arranging ministers, wedding cake, flowers, and photographers. Hair styling, beauty services, facials, and massage can also be arranged.

The Deer Harbor Inn Restaurant seats 90 inside the 2 dining rooms and can accommodate 75 outside on the patio. We can also coordinate a wedding canopy tent with outdoor tables and chairs for groups as large as 200. We can cater at any location on Orcas Island. Check out the Odd Fellows Hall for a great waterfront reception location. Our mobile catering grill is perfect for grilling up local fresh wild king salmon.

The Restaurant and Catering operations are handled by the owners Matthew and Ryan Carpenter who purchased the restaurant from their parents. Carpenter family has owned and operated the Deer Harbor in since 1982.

Our culinary staff is experienced in a wide range of cuisine from our signature Pacific Northwest Seafood to all vegetarian to Southern BBQ.

Ryan Carpenter works with the organizer of the event to plan an incredible menu. His suggestions are well thought out (allowing him to choose and use the freshest ingredients), which result in an incredible tasting menu. Ryan did not stop at the food alone, his recommended wines (all from the San Juan Islands) added nicely to the event. Portions are not a concern as there was more than enough food for all.
